Politics in Clapham
One of the many (though questionable!) benefits of living in Clapham is that I get to walk past The Socialist Party office at 52 Clapham High Street (I'd post a link, but apparently socialists don't have websites) every time I go to the big Sainsburys at the top of the hill. They often have afternoon lectures on Saturday afternoons, (I know because they put a large, inviting sandwich board advertising free refreshments outside the front door), and this past Saturday was no exception:
"Half day school on the Insanity of Capitalism".
Aaaah, where do I start? Actually, it reminds me of joke:
Q Why do Marxists only drink green tea?
A Because proper tea is theft.
